Blown timing belt..., what to fix and estimate of how much?

Hey, My timing belt blew out on me when I was driving around 70+ mph. This was back in September. My initial thoughts were to just sell the car as-is, but it would be a damn shame seeing how the car is heavenly modified and what not.

Does anyone have an estimate of what exactly it is I need to fix? And a ballpark of how much it would cost? I know labor for this kind of stuff would probably run me around $300-$600. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm not to certian of what has to be replaced... I was told I could just buy a engine rebuild kit and go from there.... If I can find someone around here to do that, that should keep me around the $1000 mark ($400 for the kit, $6-$800 for labor)

But i'm not to certain what exactly needs to be fix? My goal is to keep it under $1,200... If i gotta go up to $2,000 that'll be a real hard kick in the balls, seeing that the profit that i'll make off of selling the eclipse would be much lower than intended... after its all said and done, I would like to sell it for no more than $3,000

If worst come to worse, I'll just buy a new engine (if I can find one for no more than $1000. I checked on ebay, I'm looking at around $1800 after shipping... then I have to worry about labor and anything else that just might need to be fix... that'll take me over $2500...

Now i'm a realist.. i know digging into/replacing engines cost serious cash... It just hard and a stab in the chest trying to sell a car without a working engine... no matter how much has been put into it.. I'll be lucky to get $500 for it... the CF hood and the rims together cost more than 2K:((the rims on the car are a set of 18's.. not whats pictured)

Pull the head and see if you trashed the pistons. If not, you should just be able to put in new valves/guides and be good to go.

Regardless though, its going to be like $800-$900 if it were just a t-belt change and they didn't have to do head work. New valves and machine work on the head will run you a good $300-$400 extra after gaskets and added labor, I bet you'll be $1200-$1300 deep in this pretty easy. Unless you had a valve head break off and bounce around in there pistons will most likely be fine, I wouldn't worry about that.

i work at a shop and we charge $55 a hour and the book calls for 8 hours on a tbelt for a eclipse + ur looking at labor to pull the head new valves ect u trashed the valaves garinted this isnt a free spinning motor. and at that speed u might have cracked a piston or 2 ur looking at atleast 1500 with parts and labor.

if you're looking for bottom dollar best bang for the buck part the car out. LIke you said it the hood the rims those will get some money.
