I have a 20 round semi-auto 22 cal. that is ready to go in the matter of 3 seconds by my bed. It's legal and they deliberately broke into my house with the possibility of causing me harm. I would shoot them dead in their tracks and call the meat wagon to come pick them up. For anyone who thinks that is too harsh there is a simple solution...don't break into somebody's house. :)

I would do everything possible to protect my family while at the same time attempt to hurt the intruder in any/every way possible.

Define the property, and if any life was endangered during the intrusion and how so?. The law is very clear on this matter, lethal force is not allowed in the defense of property in the civilized states.

The law was changed a few years ago, and now you have even more freedom to kill people. In regards to your home, before the law was changed, they had to be inside your house before you could shoot them. After getting a lot of threatening phone calls, I had some cops tell me, "If anyone shows up, just shoot them and we'll help you drag them in the house. Just remember a wounded man can testify... a dead man can't."

Get a gun, but only shoot to kill if they had a weapon too. Self defense laws are a little stricter around here.

One of my favorites is these two guys stealing from a home in Texas. Don't steal!

i'd threaten them saying i'll let Rosie O'Donell loose on them. (I have her tied up with a muzzle in my basement.)

I know there's a statistic that says that most women who own a gun usually end up being a victim of said gun.

But seriously, one of my biggest fears is someone breaking in and raping me. I'd probably shoot them before they even got through the door...or window.

"Whoops....sorry, Dad. But seriously, you should've called or something..."

I own a Glock 22 .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun with a 15 round clip. I go to a shooting range often and I am pretty accurate. The only problem is I'm don't practice any emergency-panic-loading-aiming-shooting drills in a dark room. I just shoot at a range.

So if an intruder surprises me late at night I'm going to take that Glock and accidentally shoot myself in the foot.

This was just fowared to me in an e-mail:

Butte, Montana November 5, 2007

Two illegal aliens, Raphael Resindez, 23, and Enrico Garza, 26, probably believed they would easily overpower home-alone 11 year old Patricia Harrington after her father had left their two-story home.

It seems the two crooks never learned two things: they were in Montana and Patricia had been a clay shooting champion since she was nine.

Patricia was in her upstairs room when the two men broke through the front door of the house. She quickly ran to her father's room and grabbed his 12 gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun.

Resindez was the first to get up to the second floor only to be the first to catch a near point blank blast of buckshot from the 11-year-old's knee crouch aim. He suffered fatal wounds to his abdomen and genitals.

When Garza ran to the foot of the stairs, he took a blast to the left shoulder and staggered out into the street where he bled to death before medical help could arrive.

It was found out later that Resindez was armed with a stolen 45 caliber handgun he took from another home invasion robbery. That victim, 50-year-old David Burien, was not so lucky. He died from stab wounds to the chest.

Ever wonder why good stuff never makes NBC, CBS, PBS, & MSNBC, CNN, or ABC news........an 11 year old girl, properly trained, defended her home and herself.... ...against two murderous, illegal aliens .......and she wins, she is still alive.

Now that is Gun Control!

Yeah, I think I know why it didn't make it on the news....

I'd let my dog loose, even though she'd probably lick them to death, and show them where all good stuff is. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y223/Wickednycowboy/Monster7.jpg

I doubt she'd actually hurt or harm anyone on purpose, but she'd show them the good stuff.

I do not own a gun ..... but I do have some strategically "placed instruments of harm" that are within easy reach if needed ....

The intruder would live and would remember me every day for the rest of their life as they sit and roll around in their wheelchair.

And if they (God forbid) ever made it to the garage ... where there are plenty of powertools ... they would know the meaning of pain.
