The glue will hold things up, as I would need to order it, and spend a minimum of £15 mail order at the company! Is that OK or shall I just send what I have?

I can do a steering wheel, and rear seat, no problems. I really meant I will send the wheels to make up the £30, as opposed to the glue too!

you may have a good substitute for rubbing compound in the bathroom
try regular toothpaste (not the gel type) it is an abrasive and works pretty good for smoothing out a paint job,just keep the rag wet and rub away.

Edit: Mike, could you perhaps tell me how exactly to apply toothpaste to the model? Put it (paste) on a damp cloth and rub on a wet car?

Toothpaste onto rag!
Keep another rag near by to wipe away the paste and check the shine!

If you use a good mouthwash you won't smell the toothpaste. LOL

Will Listerine work? Do you rub the listerine on the model with an old T-shirt? It seems to me that the smell would be even worse.
