no lights..

everytime i turn on my headlights, the fuse for my dash lights and parking lamps pops and it stops working.. ive went through alot of fuses. its a 1994 grand prix, and ideas. I really hope so bc i cant drive at night when i need to.

You will have to find the short- Has anyone been messing with tailights, parking lights etc?- may have inserted a bulb wrong. Do you have a trailer hitsh- with trailer wiring harness? - these can corrode- causing problems..
Any aftermarket wiring done? Anybody added foglights or other non-OEM lighting? These are always in question because of the careless methods used to wire- like no plastic conduit, or grommets, etc....

The most common cause for your symptoms is the light for the ashtray. The wires fray over time due to pulling the ashtray in and out and end up shorting out to the bracket. Check that first, and if it's ok, then you need to start inspecting wires under the dash, lots of fun there.
