96 jimmy electrical problem

I have a 96 Jimmy that keeps blowing the number 5 fuse that controls the O2 sensors, Exhaust gas recirculation, cam sensor, canister vent solenoid, mass air sensor and the cam shaft sensor. I had replaced the EGR, then after a few days I decided to check the fuse's and found that the number 5 fuse was missing. So I replaced it and it worked okay going to work, then on the way home the Service Engine light came back on and sure enough the fuse had blowen. So there has to be a short somewhere and if so, where to start, or could it be anyone of the sensor's?

I have only had this Jimmy for a month, known that the service light was on. Its in great shape and the price was right.

Can anyone help or should I take it into the dealer and let them check it out?

I would start by getting the codes read since the check engine light is on, the codes could help to identify where to start. Autozone or other parts stores should read codes for free. Post codes

The code's had been run and they are...P0135,P0140,P0141,P0147,P0153,P0155,P0340 and PO1406. Code's 0135 - 0155 have to with O2 sensor's. P0340 is the camshaft position sensor and P0146 is for the EGR which I did replace be for checking the fuse's. Once again there was a fuse missing which is the engine fuse. Every time I replace that fuse then turn the key it pop's. Its got to be a short in the wiring or perhaps in the ignition switch right? The first time I replaced the fuse it was okay driving to work then it popped when driving home. Im thinking of taking the jimmy into the shop next week unless I find the problem before then.

You have code P0146 and P1406, which is the correct one?

click on the box with a library name in it, others will appear, enter the Public Library of Cinncinatti and submit
Scroll down to ARRC Auto Repair Reference Center
choose year, make, model and engine

Go to TSB and Recall
Click on Electronic Devices, Computors, Proms, sensors
Look for tsb # 77-65-12, I forget the name but it refers to misc. DTC's and speaks about the 02 sensors.

There is also a tsb on code p1406 for the EGR circuit.

I don't think it is in the ignition switch but that is just my 2 cents as I am not a electrical person. I believe it is in either EGR or 02 circuit.
