got a 95 tbird lx the door panels are in perfect condition except 3 or 4 clips on the inside of the door panel (these clips are plastic and slide on to the door to hold panel in place) these clips are broke is there a replacement part for this issue or do i have to buy a complete door panel also my electric windows won't go up or down easly motor seems to work fine it appears that the windows are some how sticking ? is this happening cause the door panels are not tight because the clips are broken another problem is when this car shifts (automatic) it gets weard and does not shift smoothly

Welcome to the forum albert1.
1. Autozone has a variety of clips available so check at your local store.
2. Spray a light film of silicone in the window tracks and see if that helps.
3. It's probably time to change the trans fluid and filter. I've never used it but Sea-Foam has been recommended by CamaroSSBoy346 (see the first page of the Tech help thread at the top of the forum threads) to clean it before installing new fluid and filter. One thing he didn't mention is draining the torque converter when removing the old fluid. There is a drain plug in the front of it that you get to by removing the inspection plate on the front of the bell housing right in back of the oil pan. You should also disconnect the lines going to the trans cooler and flush it out to get the old fluid out of it, too. If you don't want to go through all that then take it to a shop and have them flush it for you. Keep us informed.

Hi,

On the window going up and down, take off the door panel (looks like that should be an easy job!) and examine the plastic clips that hold the glass to the scissor. I've had to reglue mine a few times through the years. What happens is the window starts going up/down kind of cockeyed and traps itself in the rails. Also as 97bird suggested try either silicone or "Son of a Gun" (I've had bad luck with silicone destroying the rubber parts of my car, so I usually use Son of a Gun now).
