ABS Light + Check Tire Press. Light Problems

Hey guys, maybe you could give me a hand with this...

I own a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, 3.8 Supercharged, yaddayaddayadda, and my ABS Light and Check Tire Pressure light came on at the same time. I know that its not really anything to do with my tire pressure (still, im going to fill them up, cause im OCD like that). Im sure its not the bearing, otherwise itd be making funny sounds...what else could it be? ABS sensor? If it is, how would i got about fixing this and would it cost me an arm and a leg?

Also, the steering goes stiff when this comes on but my father told me this was something to do with the Magnasteer feature or something and i just replaced the power steering pump so im not too worried about that but would appreciate advice on the trio nonetheless

Thanks in advance guys

Both the wheel bearing and wheel sensor are located in the same component, the hub. So hub, wiring, electrical connector or the ABS control module (EBTCM). Get it scanned with an ABS capable scan tool to be sure.

The Magnasteer is controlled via the EBTCM module and when an ABS code sets not uncommon for the Magnasteer to act up or stiiffen.

Ok, but could it be just a loose/bad sensor? I have a Tech II reader/tool but my father took it with him to vancouver so its no use to me there...any suggestions for a quick fix? i dont like having these lights on, especially after the nightmare i endured fixing the tensioner pulley and power steering pump last week...

Yeah it could be a loose wheel sensor so safely jack it up or put it on a lift and inspect the wiring and electrical connector at each wheel sensor, back of hub and where it runs along the control. And if the wheel sensor is bad you still need to figure out which one. There are a total of 4, one for each wheel. Most common to go bad are the front.
