Symptoms of A Flaky Speed Sensor?

Just as the title suggests. I'll try to make this as short as possible, please bear with me. 97 GPGT 3.8, 132,500 miles. About a month ago, my ABS, LOW TRAC, LOW TIRE PRESSURE would illuminate only on speeds over 65 and when roads were wet. After shutting down and restarting, the lights would not trip back on.
Last week, I removed my tires and inspected, cleaned, and applied dielectric grease around all my ABS connectors to help keep any moisture that may be intruding. All my connections looked excellent as well as the wiring as far as I could tell. When I hooked everything back together, the lights were on to stay until yesterday when I picked up my kid from school. After starting up my car and coming to a stop sign, I heard my ABS system cycle and the lights went out and remained out until this morning when I got a car wash with an under body rinse. I did this to see if moisture is a contributing issue. Immediately, my low trac would come on and off and I could hear the system cycle when coming to a stop even when I know that the tires were not sliding.
I already had the ABS code scanned and it pointed to the front right hub. My question is does a flaky wheel speed sensor have any of these symptoms? The lights are on now and I have a new hub on the way. Would the resistance on the connection on the hub read around 1k ohms whether the lights are on or off? And if so would tell me that the sensor is still good? It would be a bummer to replace the hub if it's a moisture issue. It's too cold right now to test the hub with a ohm meter. Any suggestions or opinions?

Spin the wheel and you see the meter change while you are spinning the wheel. But this may not be a definitive test. It is possible that there may be a wiring issue and not necessarily at the connectors.

Your symptoms are classic for a hub. Moisture gets in past the grease seal and causes the wheel speed sensor signal to get screwy triggering the warning lights and the ABS to cycle.

Yes, that makes much more sense. This is acting way too strange for it to be just a wire connection problem. Thanks again..

We replaced the defective wheel hub yesterday afternoon and my problem is solved. Thanks again Rich for you help. Doctorhrdware, thanks for that suggestion, it may come in handy in the future.

Can this in anyway hurt the car and what product would I have to get from rockauto.com if I had the exact same problem as the original poster?
