How do I check his private messages, so that I, too, understand?

As far as I know you can only check your own private messages, not someone else’s.

From what I have read in this forum, there are two O2 sensors. One near the catalytic converter and one on the right bank exhaust manifold at the rear of the engine room (near the firewall).

You can’t see the first one (referred to as bank one, sensor one) unless you come up from underneath. I saw it when I replaced my plugs in late fall. It could be that the wiring harness has become disconnected. Before you replace it, check the wiring to make sure everything is plugged in to the sensor.

Also, the more I read, it sounds like this O2 sensor is only good for about 80,000 miles and should be replaced as part of regular PM.

You may have to roll the engine forward and remove the coil pack to see it, but it’s there, along with a smattering of wiring that can get tangled, or even burned by the hot exhaust if moved during a spark plug change.

another thing is go buy them before you take the 0-2's out that will show you what your looking for there in front of the catalic converters and they unscrew like a spark plug. also rent the special socket that take's them out if getting from autozone or just buy one there i think there about 8 bucks or less you'll need it in futcher as it will fit other cars you buy also..good luck..
