Power Steering Problems

I replaced my power steering pump on my 2000 3.4L grand am. The pump is extremely loud. I pulled the cap off and there was a bunch of foam on the top. I started it and turned the wheel a few times and then let all of the air bubbles settle. I have tried doing this 5 or 6 times and there is still foam. The power steering pump has gotten less noisy every time I do this but is still very noisy. Any suggestions.

Sounds like you still have air in the system, keep bleeding it like you have been. Also, check the tension on the belt.

yeah once it gets foamy it needs to sit for 3-4 hrs, sometimes overnite.
Try only starting it for a few seconds, turning the wheel left to right slowly.
