alittle late, but really a dual exhaust wouldn't be all that hard.
I was looking under miune today, and with bolt on flanges after the 2nd cat on each side, there would just have to be dual pipes going from there back, probably sharing a single muffler with dual pipe inputs and outputs, it would probably be easiest to run them both back to the same side, but i didn;t look much to see if there would be room to run a pipe to the drivers side. Really an exhaust shop should be able to make the system for you (well unless theres some legal issue with converting to dual exhaust.
The sound woule be nice, but the manrestiction is where the 2 pipes meat. other thatn that it's really a nice free flowing exhaust with really good bends, not like most factory exhaust.
I should unbolt mine after that cats sometime just to here what duals might sound like

Well, drop me a PM and i can help. Just to be on the safe side, next time post that in the GMC section under Sierra. But other than that, i'll be glad to help. :bigthumb:

He is right, that system is pretty expensive tho. If i were you, i'd check with local exhaust shops and see what it will cost if they install one themselves by making it. It will be alot cheaper than $725. I think there is another place that makes a kit for the 4-runner. I'll have to check mon.

Really that Borla exhaust isn't what i would want, I would want true duals, completely seperate pipes with the exception of a cross over.
I acctually don't like the side exits of the borla, it almost looks funny, I know that fumes would get in the back window with them noth facing back, but it would look better.
And if you've ever looked at the exhaust system it's a really great factory system, mandrel bends, so the only real flow restriction is where the 2 pipes from the cats meet (an dpossibly the muffler) But for the money I can't see spending $700+ for that borla kit, just doens't seem worth it for what you get
