heater making noise

I have a 97 Grand Prix and the heater is making a squeeking noise when I turn it on. Could it be the fan?

Welcome to AF.
Most likely the blower motor is the issue. Squeaking usually indicates a bad motor shaft bushing.

I had the blower resistor changed out 2 times...once in 2005 & 2007
