What Car?

I am looking for a car and I know i want another Honda but i dont want to spend a lot (i only have 2200:( ). i am kinda of in a bind but i wanna start trickin out the next car i get. i dont think i can get a 92-95 civic 4 this much so i gotta go older which sux to. i am thinking about a 88-91 honda civic si hatch or a 88-91 prelude or a 87-89 accord??? if anyone have suggestions please reply i am also wondering which one of these cars has the best performance market. thanks

If you don't have much $$$ save a little and get a 92-95 theres so many more parts available and they look way better, you can get a decent 92-95 for 3,000-3,500 easy

I would say 4th gen civic hatch it might not have as much out for it as 92-95 but they aren't like every thing else on the road and can fairly easly do a B motor swap.

I have own and built up everything from 86-94,I'll tell you from experiance the 5th gen is by far the easiest to be built.While the 88-91 still has a wide variety of parts,they are becoming fewer,and less companies are working applications into their newer product lines.The 3rd gen civic/1stgen rex,is becoming even harder.Looking at it from a motor swap stand point,the money you save on the car,by buying a older model,will be spent getting the motor in the car,with mount kits,maintenance and all.I hear from people all the time who found good deals on 92-95's for around $1500-$2500.If you look around you can find them.

Yeah I agree, you can get a 92-95 civic cx for real cheap because they are the low end models, the good thing though if you want speed is they are the lightest. So if you do a motor swap a lot of weight is already gone compaired to the Si. The Si has a better motor but if you plan on changing that anyway who cares.
