a few questions about the s2000

I recently purchased one, the 2008 s2000 CR. I did get the one with the stereo, however I want to replace that with an aftermarket stereo. Will I run into any issues in replacing the headunit?

I also would like to know how many ohms the stock speakers are (if possible). My stereo is only compatible with 4/8 ohm speakers.

Thank you so much!

Any single din sized headunit will fit. Anything larger than single din won't fit. The dashboard of the S2k is the easiest dash I've ever worked with - everything is built to be easily removed with just a few screws and clips but it's tricky to unclip things without breaking something. A lot of guys have posted online pictures and instructions how to take apart the dash - just Google it. Wiring is a typical Honda factory harness. You can buy a harness adapter for your radio from anywhere that sells stereo equipment.

Modifry sells an interface that let's you use the audio controls on the S2k's dashboard with certain aftermarket headunits. You can check their website to see if your HU will work.

I don't know the specs on the stock speakers. You should upgrade them anyway - unless you're talking about the headrest speakers.
