Hi, I am very new here but I see that some people have some good information to offer. I have just a couple of questions regarding some new issues with my 1991 Camaro RS 6cyl.
1. I had been told, last time I went for an alignment, that they would not align the front because my ball joints were "shot". However, I jacked the car and tugged on the wheel for a while (the up/down, out/in dummy test) and didn't feel any slipping or anything abnormal, almost no play. I then went to get a second opinion from a Firestone where the guy lifted it, said the joint were fine, but my bearings were somehow shot now, and wanted $500. However this is from the same "mechanic" that informed me that I only have one ball joint....no. Idiot.
The only problem I actually have is in a very tight turn I experience minimal slipping, nothing too worrysome, but there is NO noise (whining, scraping, or groaning), no popping, no audible clue that anything is wrong as typically associated with bearing issues. Ideas?
2. I've owned the car for a few years now and it always has run a little rough, as in idling you can feel it buck here and there; not really hard just...vibrates a lot. I assumed maybe it was just running rich or constricted but even after adjusting it seemed to go away but came back. Seems temperature/condition independent. However, now it has recently started bucking so hard and continuously it feels like it might die just sitting at a stoplight. Runs fine, no change in power, hasn't stalled or anything like that. Perhaps fuel line/filter/pump issue? Stock intake, 2.5" Flow exhaust on 6"tips, stock heads/ecm/mfl, cat is still there - so its not a homebrew performance mod. Ideas?

The Macpherson struts setup only has a lower ball joint so I think that's what he was trying to say.
As for the bucking, I'd start with a basic tune up if it hasn't been in a while, including you intuition of the fuel filter.
