power steering? I unhooked the return line, and I kept adding more of the new fluid because I had added shit ass fluid to it. But it still makes the noise and I've been through about 9 bottles. Should I just keep flushing it? Or can I some how force all of it out with vacuum?

For starters I would keep the language more appropriate for the public forum. It is where we are!

Did you try to bleed air from the system? Haynes recommends turning steering wheel all the way to left and right few times with the engine running.

I hope this helps,

Sam

Yeah, I did all that stuff.
9 quarts of Honda PSF through the system, and there is no air in the system.

What kind of noise is that?

Could it be over or under tightened belt?

Try to put a mechanics stethoscope to the bearing. Considering the age of the vehicle (I assume it is one in your signature) it could be the culprit.

I'm ahead of you. I did the screwdriver stethoscope trick. It's the pump, but the belt I tried 890374 tensions. And as for the age, yeah it's a '94, but the pump is about 12 hours old. Maybe it's just because AutoZone is trash and the pump is bad? I called Honda, and they said after 9 qts and it's still doing it, it has to be the pump.

Whether we like it or not, Hondas do not like aftermarket parts! I wonder how much OEM pump cost.

I guess the junk yard is the solution.

Good luck,

Sam

What about flushing through the heater hoses. How effective is it.
