2000 Ford Focus, Heater doesn't work

My son recently bought a 2000 Ford Focus with 115,000 miles on it. Last night he drove it and the heater worked fine. But today on his way over the heater doesn't turn on at all. No blowing, not anything. what could it be. Update: It works now, what could it be now.

We have a 2001 focus for sale and i personally would never recommend a focus to any friend. Not the early models anyway.

I hope your sons car does not have the problems ours did/does.
