OK, my 2003 Jeep GrandCherokee Limited with 6 cylinders keeps dying on my whenever I stop. I ran the ODBC diagnostic and the code came up as P 0505 which is "Replace Idle Air Control Motor Circuits". What is it exactly? Is it the same as idle air control motor with a valve? or is it just a circuit board with wires and solders? Please advise and any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Yes that would be your idle air control motor which opens and closes an air valve. It is mounted on your throttle body.

Ok, I replaced that and now the idle runs more smooth than ever. Idle has been rough for the past 3 years....until it decided to die whenever i stop.
Also, the old idle air control motor was covered with black carbon and i made sure to spray throttle body/choke cleaner before putting in new IAC motor. I'm gonna guess all the spark plugs will be covered with carbon and will have to replace all the plugs too.

Give those plugs a good inspection. If you do end up replacing also look into the plug wires. Old plug wires will give you a rough idle.

No plug wires on the 2003, but replacing worn plugs may help the idle.
