I myself enjoy cycling and was curious as to what would be a good asking price for the bicycle Im going to sell. It's a cannondale 2.8 Aluminum frame road bike, I believe a 1999 model year.
These are the componants I have on it as of the moment:

- EMS Composite Carbon Fiber Fork
- Shimano Dura Ace Derailluer/Crank/Brakes/Shifters
- Graphite Seatpost with Selle San Marco Saddle
- Zipp Carbon Fiber Front wheel(Sewup tires)
- Zipp Carbon Fiber Rear Disc Wheel(Sewup tires)
- Profile Airwing/Aerobar setup with SwiftShift shifters.

Any help for a good price would be great help, It's in good condition, needs some minor tweeks and that's it.

i'm guessing it's a road racing bike? i'm a mountain biker myself...so i couldn't really tell you...sounds pretty nice, but again, i'm not experienced in road bikes.

well... depends a lot on what the demand for road riding is in your area. i'd say ask about $500 - 800 (depending on how new some of the components are) got a pic? i wanna see!:D

Okay, I will tell you the scoop from somebody who used to work in a cycling shop, shared a house with the owner of the same shop, and I also used to race elite in mountain biking and A Cat on the road.

When you want to sell a bike, take whatever the retail price of the bike was new and halve it, that would tell you what a bike shop would pay you for it as a trade, now add 15% or so and you have a price to negotiate from.

Since you have a Dale, it should hold its own though so you maybe could add a bit more, Dale's have a good name and the 2.8 was a good frame.

Brian, you mountain bike :) what ya riding?

posted it in the other thread, but i'll post it again. Trek 6000 alpha aluminum with Shimano components (hopefully upgrading this summer), Judy C front fork, Bontrager wheels and tires and iTech aluminum handle bars. need to get racing pedals this summer too. i'll try and get a pic from my old computer as soon as possible.
