300zx motor swap?

hey guys. i'm thinkin about buying a 300zx. i'm getting a pretty good deal. i don't think the guy knows what he has. :smoker2:
its a '90 300z with about 140k. he said he'll let it go for $1700. even though it has a lot of miles on it, i think its still a REALLY good deal. i'm hoping to get the car, use it for a while, and then try to do a motor swap. heres the problem...

i know a lot about honda swap and what not, but nissan......i'm completly new to this. are 300z swap easy to come by? are they as readily avaliable as honda motors? i would love to get this car. let me konw what you guys think.

that is an ok deal, saw a 90' with 56k on it for only 6 grand something, black with tinted windows OOOOOOWWW!

not sure if you could replace the engine, go with a new altima engine with 240hp, there ya go.

i'm not looking for a different engine, i want a 300zx engine, just somethin with lower mileage. maybe a jdm fairlady :licker:

It depends if you want to go with the Turbo or another n/a. Very big differences! The N/A will just drop in. Now, If you want to go turbo you are looking at a whole list of crap you are gonna need to do! I won't list ti all here, but if you want to know ask and I'll tell ya'!

i went to drive the car today. there is a problem and i wanted to know if you guys could tell me if its normal or not.

whenever i hit the accelorator (not hard), it sort of dosn't go as quick as i think it should. its an automatic, and when i press on the gas to go, it takes a while, as if i were in an MT and i was letting go of the clutch and giving it gas. it kind of dosn't launch that fast. is that normal with 300zx's? this would be my first z and i have no idea. i'm use to honda's where it goes when you press the gas. sorry for such a newbie question.
