1991 Ranger Engine swap to 1989

Hello,
I have a 1991 Ranger 2.3l 4cyl. I was wondering if a 1989 Mustang 2.3l 4cyl engine will work? If so what else will need done?

the 89 might have the single plug head, should be the only differences. I just swapped my 88 for a 85 rebuild, the only thing I had to do was block off the mechanical fuel pump. Check it out in the parts for sale section.
