need spark

Hi Guys
I am using a 93 geo 1.0 L engine in a plow rig that I am building. My problem is that I am trying to not use the computer, but with out the computer I am not getting any spark. I got a 91 distributor with vacuum advance. I still do not have any spark. does any one have any ideas. Thanks.

It shouldn't need the computer since it's an independent system. You have power to the coil? Manual says the brown/white wire on the dist. (pickup) should go to the negative side of the coil. The other side (coming off the dist) needs +12.

The distributor has a brown wire and a black/white. Thank for the reply.
