I have a 1983 Chevy (GMC) 3/4 Ton pickup. Column shifter is extremly loose and I determined that the bushing located at the piviot point on the frame rail is worn out. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement bushing, spring and or metal cup that mounts to the frame rail? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply, I figured I could fab up something, just wondering if anyone offered the parts so I didn't have to go that route. The part that is really worn out the the metal bracket that mounts to the frame rail.

Hi Bryan C. Did you ever fix your 95 Tahoe? I was reading the thread and there weren't anymore posts that told what the end result was. I have a 97 GMC Savana van that:
-Has no spark
-Fuel pump does not work unless you jump the relay
-No communication to computer with diagnostic tool
Your situation seemed similar. I hope you can help.
Thanks,
Dan

Sounds like a bad ign switch, not the key cyl, the ign switch itself.

Welcome to the forum. Just wondering why we're responding to a 4 1/2 year old post that has nothing to do with a tranny bushing issue .
With that said...........
These Ign switches have 5 contacts in them. One is dedicated to the crank circuit only. Another contact is dedicated to fuses powering the Ign, ECM, etc.
So, as Max said it could very well be the Ign switch!!
Good Luck
