Good afternoon folks I just returned from a nightmare trip to Michigan upon which my transmission crapped out on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in a little town called Somerset. My vehicle has 77000 miles and has been serviced regularly. I was towed off the turnpike and taken to the local Chevy dealer (Kenny Ross) whre i was informed that they couldn't even look at it for two weeks. I tried to check the fluid level myself and found the dipstick had rusted through which leads me to believe there was some kind of moisture in my transmission. Do any of you guys know the warranty info for a 2004 Trailblazer and have any input into why the dipstick would rust through

Welcome to AF, 3/36 is the warranty. Rust can be caused by overheated fluid that can cause condensation and was never attended to, for one possibility. Or water has entered the unit, what did the fluid look like, which is the most important issue here. And what does " crapped out " mean in regard to failure symptoms, lots of info misssing here.
