Ok you might be wondering why a book by John Steinbeck has stumbled upon the modeling forums. I have a project to do a scale mockup of their 1925 dodge truck, and I'm in need of some photos or even the model name of the truck they used. Any help is appreciated.

Use your imagination! Just look at circa 1925 car pics and go from there, I doubt your English teacher is an expert on 1925 cars.

BTW what kind of project is it? I spent a lot of time on a modeling project for my english class and my teacher only gave me an 85.

I'm making a mockup diorama of the truck used and have it sitting on Route 66. This was during the great depression. I couldn't find anything older than 50's models, so I got a 55 chevy and I'll probably primer it gray, and then give it splotches of flat and gloss black to make it look like worn down paint. I'll also use some wood on the bed to simulate the farm truck look. Finish it off with a sprinkle of some dry dirt around the wheels and such.

TheSyndicate, If you remember the truck wasn't an actual truck. It was a car that they cut the back half of the roof off and made into a truck, so in theory if you found a car from the 20s or 30s. Lindberg made a 1930 something or other in 1/32 scale

You're going to hace to find something from the 20's, cars and trucks in the 30's look too different. It's been awhile since I have read the book, so I don't know what kind of vehicle it was, but try the library(since they should have a copy machine) and look through classic car books. Don't know of a website though. Not sure of any kits from that era, but I have seen toys of those vehicles, like Coca-Cola trucks, Jack Daniels Trucks and such...unfortunately these are usually a bit pricey tobe cutting up.
