Hey all. My wife has a 2004 Aveo. Today I noticed it is leaking alot of oil, or something right at the very front of the car. It is -30 here, So I didnt spend alot of time laying under the car due to my hands freezing...lol. However, it does not look like its coming from the oil pan, or anywhere under the engine for that matter. The puddle is at the very front of the car basically under the rad and front bumper. My question is.... Does a Manual transmission have cooler lines running to the radiator? Because that is the only thing i could see leaking oil that far up front. If not, what else could it be?

You have exactly the same problem as mine. See the thread I made 5 hours ago.

You need to determine if its oil or transmission fluid. If its oil look at the seal for the crankshaft its behind the harmonic balancer pulley. If its around the oil filter look for a bad gasket or o-ring for the filter mounting bracket.

Chevrolet has a TSB on this. It is 07 06 01-012A Sept 07 for the 2004 Aveo. I don't know what this is. Call your dealer.

I think you hit the nail on the head! I Googled the TSB number and I found an interesting article.
