first off i would like to thank the moderators for the accurate information on my last post. i previously had an issue with my MAF sensor going bad, i did not have the money to buy a new one at the time so i left it unplugged for about a month. the car was a dog and my gas mileage suffered tremendously. last week i was able to change the sensor. my car runs much better but my gas mileage is still 16.2 and there is a two to thre second lag at about 3k rpms at WOT. my question is does it take a while for the computer to get back to normal operation?

Yes it might take the PCM some time to re-learn. Did unplugging the MAF cause the SES light to come on? If so, you need to clear the code.
And are you measuring milage with the DIC or by math at the pump? Have you re-set your DIC MPG?
