new battery put in now interior lights and locks wont work

I have a 2003 envoy and had a new battery put in it yesterday and now the interior lights wont work, gauge lights wont work (althought the gear lights and mileage lights work) and my automatic door locks wont work. could it be just a fuse? also if so i have NO diagram on my box cover as to what fuse goes to what, does anyone know which one it is if this is the problem? Oh also Im female and to top it ALL off im blond so ANY help would be appreciated

Welcome to AF. All the fuse boxes have the diagram on the inside of the cover, also the owners manual points them out. But how would they have blown anyway?

wasnt sure, was just grasping at straws.....i no longer have the user manual and with my luck the cover doesnt have the fuse diagram on it...have no clue why its not there...anyway....apparently the problem is my alternator. its overcharging any i guess my vehicle went into a safe mode and shut EVERYTHING down that I did not absolutely have to have so it wouldnt over charge the battery. just had a new one put in and everything is fine now.

Get an owner's manual, E bay or Helm inc. How did you find this out?
