Auxiliary Function in GTP stereo

I have a 2000 GTP, just got it about 2 months ago. Whoever had it before me had the wiring done for a Sirius satelite radio. One of the wires is an auxiliary input.

I was wondering how to turn on the auxiliary function on the factory stereo, if there was a way at all.

I figure, someoen else did the hard part of wiring, hopefully theres an easy way for me to play an iPod or mp3 from this wire.
I haven't tried to contact the dealer to find the people who had this car before me to ask how, or if, they used that jack.
I honestly don't even know if the wire is indeed hooked up to the stereo, I just assumed because it was there that it was.

It doesnt look like a standard 3.5mm plug to me. Where's the left and right channels? XM's have been known to plug into the antenna output of the car and transmit through an unused frequency, so that may be what this wire is for.

I've checked with a few stores like Radio Shack and Circuit City, and they said they were sure it was to an aux out jack to a Sirius radio
the other two are for the antenna and the power (if that wasn't already deduced)
and I bought an adapter so that it will fit into a standard stereo jack, I just don't have it on in the pic. I'm thinking that if I can't find any help I may just buy an adapter kit to play and control my iPod through the factory stereo.
If I do choose to do so, are there any ideas for that? Brands to go with, easier ones to install, etc.?

There is an adapter that will connect an IPOD to a delco factory deck. Its quite expensive (175.00) last time I check, but the catch is you have to have an auxilary input on the back of your deck for something like a 6 disc cd changer. You could pull your deck out and have a look. Mine doesnt have one.

yea, I just called the local pontiac dealer and he said that the stereo doesn't have an aux function
I did see that modulator for 175, but it almost seems worth it, I've gone through so many FM transmitters, and I'm happy with the head unit in my car now, I don't see the use in getting a new one
chances are that if your stereo doesn't have the 6 disk option then mine won't either, but who knows, maybe the daytona 500 edition came with that option
thanks for the help

NO problem. I like the clean look of the stock cd player too. Plus the sound is good enough for me. And I will agree FM modulators (of all kinds) for Ipods just dont work very good in cars. I would switch over my cd player to a deck, its just I like my HUD too much.
This item is what I was looking at. Not sure it would work on our cd players though, and if it wasn't 175.00, or about 50.00 It might be worth a shot.
