Apperantly ive been told my freeze plugs have been popped?

I have never heard of them before, but im not saying they dont exist but, is it possible to fix them yourself, as im to understand they just basicly screw in to the block behind the engine. if i cant DIY it is it caustly?

Thx, Adam

Welcome to AF. Why have your freeze plugs popped? Whats your concentration of water to antifreeze? Do you have multiple ones that popped or just one? Depending on where it is, you can replace it yourself. Doorman makes an assortment of freeze plugs that you insert into the block, and tighten with a bolt.

Thanks im on so many forums trying to get answers to this problem. well my anifreeze concentration is none right now lol, i baught it from a private seller and i had everything on it checked out and the oil changed and stuff but i forgot to winterize it b4 storage there was just straight up water in the radiator. At the time of storage there was verry little fluid in it bc on the way to the gaurage a hose broke and spilled most of the contents out, haha just my luck.

There is just water pouring out of the back of the engine(left side for these damn FWD vehicles), no visable cracks that would sustain such a flow. Its a 93 3.1sfi..or mfi i cant remember

best thing is to have a look. That frost plug is probably only accessable from the underside of the car. It is going to be a pain in the butt to replace this especially in the cold weather. I just hope your block isnt cracked.

I don't think a leaking frost plug will cause your car to die.
