PCV noise

I changed the lower intake seals and valve cover gaskets on my Blazer ZR2. Ever since the PCV valve on the driver side rattles and is audible from the passenger compartment (quite annoying). I torqued all bolts to spec, and even replaced the PCV valve, yet the noise returned. I did not know what the noise was when I first heard it, so I used a stethoscope to locate the noise, and I'm positive that the PCV valve is responsible for the noise. Does anyone have any idea why it would be rattling like that after the gasket replacement? Could the torque specs be wrong, causing air to seep into the valve cover?

I can remember when those trucks were brand new- at certain rpms that PCV would get into a really bad resonating rattle- got many complaints for it-a lot of folks blamed it on the A/C compressor. I don't believe it has anything to do with your repair work- I would try to find different brands and see if you can lessen this phenomena-or try to restrict the flow path somehow to change the frequency- to get out of the resonate zone. There may have been a TSB on it- since it was a warranty concern at the time
