Wow...this kit was certainly an experiance. Just finished the Provence Moulage 2003 Subaru Impreza WRC Presentation car. Here are some pics:

Judging from the not-so-clear pics you provided, it looks pretty good for a 1:43. Antenna's, roll cage, plus it looks really nice, new body Scooby>>> thumbs up!

Nice job, for a mini-me kit :)

It looks very good, although it's 1/43.
I'm suprised by the quality/detail.

I ordered it from www.autosportif.com . A hobby shop north of me in Georgia. As for plans to build more of these...yes, I have this on pre-order...

I am thinking about it. When I get some more cash I will probably order one, saw a couple on eBay.

Hey nice job Asmenoth.

Havent even touch a resin kit before. Dont even know what the stuff in the box looks like. Whats it like building one?

Well, the body is more solid than I expected, and actually has a screw in the back to put it together. The frame and interior tub are molded in one peice...just add seats, seatbelts, stearing wheel and roll cage. The windows are vacuum formed, don't know if this is the norm but mine came with two sets of windows. The wheels are almost a kit in themselves, main part of the wheel is a peice of turned aluminum, slip the tire onto this, a resin disk goes inside and the rotors are glues to it, then a brake caliper is glued on next. Then a part representing the center of the wheel goes on then the outside, the spokes. Since the brake calipers rotate with the wheel, you have to glue the wheels in place. There was very little cleanup on the resin parts, what little there was, was easy to clean up with a sharp xacto blade. Painting is just like painting a 1/24 scale car. Now I have been known to post about not needing primer in all cases, this is NOT one of them. Metal and resin parts or kits always get primered. For such a small kit, there are alot of parts and a surprising amount of detail. Them undercarage has some basic detail, but the turned aluminum exhaust pipe is a nice touch.

These kits aren't too dificult to assemble for most experienced modelers, but they do require more patience.:D

Asmenoth, so I take it that resins and normal 1/24th model kits are about the same cept the quality of the resin is better than the plastics we normally do right?

Also the details found on resins are of much higher quality?

Pardon my ignorance :)

If you do have a resin kit in the future, mind taking some pics of it without first assembling it? Curious to see what it contains.

Thanks in advance man.

Well...sort of. Resin kits generally have simplified detail where plastic kits dont. For example, the undercarage on a plastic car has all of the suspension parts and drive shaft etc. Where as a resin kit might not.
One area in which resin kits are far superior to plastics are figures. Much more detail can be molded onto a resin fig than plastic.

Now as for the details being better, on 1/43 resin kits vs. 1/43 plastic kits, yes. For 1/24 kits some things are better. Usually people buy the 1/24 resin kits because they are usually subjects that are not made like the Skoda rally cars and such.

Sure I will take pics before assembly next time. :D

I got the Portal 43 Subaru Impreza 'Spike' 2000WRC, it's look excellent. IMO, is alot more better than Racing43.
