Hi,
I'm trying to find out if a 4.3 out of an '89 Full size Chevy 4WD truck will bolt up/plug in to my '97 GMC Jimmy? My engine has gone up in a cloud of smoke and I'm trying to get my Jimmy back on the road with as little expense as possible. Wish I could afford to do it the right way, but currently I have VERY few $'s to work with.
Thanks for any info/advice/tips you all can provide.

The short answer, no it will not work. You have to find something from '96 and up pretty much, or you can try and do a light rebuild on what you have to get it going again.
