96 olds aurora cant remove idle pulley

i drive a 96 aurora been good car do all repairs my self thats probaly why
well on my way to orieleys to get a 74.5 inch serp belt to bypass the a/c compresser the idle pulley broke and the serp belt snaped. MY question is how do you get it off there is some kind of plate in the way pls help

Do you have a haynes, or chilton manual? It might be a good thing to pick up, even if you do the work yourself.

thanks but already did the job, took about 4 hrs jacked up the engine as high as it would go about 3 or 4 inche and removed the engine mount and plate finaly got room to get pulley and stud out bypassed a/c w/74.5 inch serpintein belt worked great hard job though could not have done it with out every ones help on this web site! BIG THANKS to INDY!

Mr Moderator, you are smokin somthing if you think you are going to work on an Aurora with a Chiltons or Haynes manual!!

So pay for Alldata service. They are better than nothing if you do not have the correct resources.
