we have checked the battery and the starter and both are fine. the car just decided not to start out of no where. the key is hard to get out of the ignition switch sometimes.. but i did get it to start 1 time after we had it towed home. i went around and opened all the doors and locked the drive's door with the key unlocked it with the key and cranked the car right up. but it won't do it again

Does it crank and not turn over?
When you turn the key to ON, do all your indicator lights go through their normal "bulb check"?
Have an assistant turn the key to start and check for voltage at the "S" terminal on the starter. It usually has a small purple wire going to it. It should have B+ 12.6V when the key is in the crank position.
Also check and make sure that your battery cables are clean and free of corrosion.

battery has new cable wires and acts like it won't to crank put it will not turn over

It may be hydrolocked. Try turning the engine over by hand or removing the spark plugs and see if it cranks over with the starter. Check the coolant level!

Good point, but its a GTP. It has a supercharger instead of the plastic UIM. Although hydrolocking the 3800SC motor is still possible is extremely unlikly unless he has a major Head Gasket leak or a cracked head.

Based on parts of the OP's first post I would not rule out the battery or even an ignition switch. It is best to get the battery and charging system properly tested.

we have had the battery tested and it is fine. we will try the igntion switch next. i noticed today the it is making a dinging sound inside the car like the key is in the ignition but it's not and the door locks sound like they are trying to lock and unlock... maybe the car is haunted.. hubby said it can become a yard ornament..lol thanks for the help will try anything. it has been a great car and we have never had any trouble til now.

What about the lower intake gaskets?

What about the lower intake gaskets?
They will leak into the crankcase, not fill the combustion chamber.

Have you checked for B+ at the starter S terminal? All these little electrical gremlins makes me wonder if its not a bad ground or a flaky ignition switch/harness. Just a guess......

I've seen LIM gaskets in really bad shape on a L67 engines but never bad enough to cause this issue or a hydrolock condition.
