97 expedition amplifier

Have a 97 Expedition and the sound system quit on me. I was looking at the wiring diagrams and it shows a amplifier. I looked everywhere and can't seem to locate it.Everything lights up but I don't get any sound. Thanks for any help

The Amplifier is located below the radio. You have to take the radio out, remove the heater controls, center console and vent cover to get to it. I bought a service manual and it showed me where and how to remove.

do you know if a Exp '98 amp location is the same of a '97? also is it possible you share with us some pics of your manual indicating how to remove amp? we'll appreciate it very much, I had been trying to find it and I was not lucky, somebody told that it was behind RR panels, so I removed them and nothing,
