Hey all

Earlier a few hours ago I I seen the short in my passenger headlight was acting up again so I grabbed a screwdriver to fix it when I lost my grip on the stupid thing and it fell knocking my belt right off the wheels (thats what I get to try to do it fast with the car running)
Well I turned off the car to try and put the belt back on only to realize it wasnt as easy as it sounds. I don't know the way it suppose to be put on.
I tried one way that almost seemed right but was short and would have rubbed on something to probably shouldn't, so I tried another way. Well know it all fits on there but I have a large gap. My cousin said something about the tensioner but I can't figure out how to get it to work, and without know the rout it belt it suppose to be... gerr
So after a few choice words and a few hits to the car I called a friend to take his Prism over cause I thought it would be similar but I was way off so he took me to his place so I can go online and get help

A bit on info

Its an old beat-up used car I got for free from my mother last year. Its just the base model with I think a 3.1l she bought from a friend who's wife wrecked it several times and once though someone's privacy fence (thats why it was spry-painted cause he thought he could get away by covering the scratches:screwy:, but now all the paint is flaking off :frown: ).It never did come with an owners manual even though I asked for it. Its got loads wrong with it but I'll just state a few. It's got a hole in the pan for the transmissoin and I have a short right headlight. The AC doesnt work at all and when I turn at slow speeds without pressing the accelerator,it stalls out.

So if anyone Can help out that would ROCK!

You will have to enter vehicle data. Use a 3/8 inch breaker bar to move tensioner.
Go to a scrap yard and buy a pan off of a returned defective transmission.
Repair the wiring problem with the engine off.
When it running give more information on stalling problem.
Go to Advance Auto or AutoZone and get the engine scanned for codes. Post what codes you are getting.

The scans are supposed to be free at these two stores.
