TCC solenoid

Can anyone tell me where to find the TCC solenoid in a 1997 Ford Taurus? I have taken off the pan from the transmission (as told by a mechanic that it would be in there). I am not seeing anything inside the pan or where I took the pan off the transmission that remotely resembles the TCC solenoid. Any guidance would be so greatly appreciated!!!! None of the postings I have found have actually said where it was located on the car. HELP!!!

It is located under the side pan. It is not in the pan where the filter is located. Remove the cover on the drivers side of the transaxle and it will be located on the valve body.
