OBD 1 or 2?

On a 1995 Grand Marquis is the On Board 1 or 2? I thought they were 1 until '96 but the Owners Manual says 2. Which one is it? Thanks...Bobby

The switch to 2 was '96. If your manual says 2 maybe it caught up in the documentation change over.

The 95 was OBD II. Ford switched the cars in 95. Some trucks were held till 96. If you have the connector under the dash around your right knee area, it is OBD II. All our CV's were OBD II.
