I picked ip these 2 models from my loacl hobby shop today (09/01/09) after placing them on a layby system for a couple of weeks. The only thing I found disappointing about them is that 1. the Ford Crown Victoria which is a police car is pre-painted though very nicely, 2. the little Scooby R2 has a curbside model but with a clockwork motor in it (quaint but annoying) anyway I still intend to build both and the little scooby wil be built as an early model rally car a kind of nastalgic thing I suppose.

Cooool, the Aoshima Subie R2! :sunglasse Never seen one built, I'll watch this with interest. :grinyes:
I was under the impression that the motor in the kit was an accurate and fully functional scale replica of the actual engine in the full size R2.
Why not show these two in separate threads?

NPWR, the little subby is a Doyusha Model Co. kit but then I suppose that belongs to Aoshima. It is only a curbside with no under bonnet motor as I stated but it does have a clockwork wind-up one which has to be placed into position as it contains the rear axle. I din't sow then in diferent threads as boxed items but they will appear separate as build-ups OK NPWR, the cop car already has it's decals on it yep decals not stickers.
