Hi i have a 96 escort lx.
I see plenty escort owners having sway bars over their engine. I'm wondering how would you go abouts installing one?
Thanks Chris

Strut bars are easy to install. Just take the two inside nuts off the top of the struts and mount the bar. The end of the bar is threaded so you can adjust it to the width between the struts. After it is mounted you can adjust the width so that there is no play in it. The bar keeps the body from flexing in a tight turn. There are 2 downsides for putting in a bar. 1. You have to take it off to add brake fluid to the reservoir. 2. You will have to take it off if you need to put in a battery.

You will have to get one that is made for your year of Escort. Basically, they all look the same except that they have different mouints on the strut tower and they have different lengths.
