Logging on a netbook?

I'm looking to pick up one of those little Acer netbooks from walmart this summer, and it would seem like it's the perfect tool to log with. Small, good size color screen, etc.

so here comes the noob logging questions...
what software would you recommend?
what cable should i use? I dont believe it has a serial port, do they make a USB logger cable? EDIT: it has a "VGA/D-sub port"...not sure what that it, but it looks sort of like a serial port...?
Anyone know if it's been done before (logging with a netbook) ?
Any other useful info?

I know theres a bit about this in the FAQs, but it mainly deals with Palms...and this forum has been dead lately anyways.

HHH loggers MAY be USB capable. I'm not 100% sure.

As for logging with a netbook again I am not sure.

HHH does have a USB datalog cable that works with their software.

3SX is suppose to be stocking them now but I think you need to call them because I don't see it on their site. Otherwise, I think it comes from the UK.
