Keyless entry 97 Ranger

Anyone know where the keyless entry brain box is located on a 97 ranger,or any ideas as to why I can't get it to program mode. I would appreciate any input.

Before anyone asks, I tried the on off thing many times. 6, 7, 8, times within 10 seconds.
