Thermostat Replacement

Hi,

Planning on replacing the TS soon and when I went to buy it they said there is no separate gasket for it. Looking at the TS itself, it has a rubber seal around it and the guy explained that this seal seals itself with the casing which is why there is no separate gasket for the casing. Is this right?

yes he's right on the thremo it has rubber around it. but make sure thats clean when installing it sets in a little round gruve where the rubber seals sets in it.
