Good luck there. I would recommend taking out your old carpet and giving it a good cleaning.

I have been searching for about a year for my 98 2dr LSI and no luck yet. Most places on the net don't carry for 95's and up. You may want to try a 94 carpet which is what I plan to do very soon. The cheapest I have seen on the net is about $120 plus shipping for a 94 carpet.

I had a slight problem while welding in new rocker panels on my 1996 Metro 2 dr. hatchback i.e. The carpet caught fire! Anyway; I had a 1989 Firefly 4 door for parts and that carpet and passenger side seat fit the floor pan perfectly. Both were automatics. I did have to cut for the seatbelt bolt holes but once installed you would never guess that it was not factory.

Well if an 89 work in a 96 then I'll go ahead and find a 94 carpet. I just needed confirmation.
