Sunfire balancing unit timing

I overhauling a 96 2.4T engine. I'm installing a rebuilt crankshaft and need to put the balancing unit's gear back on the crank. My Haynes manual doesn't explain the timing / placement of this gear or the balancing unit to the crank.

Just to clarify. I'm NOT talking about the actual balancing shaft's themselves, but rather the whole unit's timing to the crank.

Any suggestions?
