I have a 2000 GP GT and i hear a roaring noise from the left side of the car
I just repelaced both wheel hub bearings, and the noise is still there I have even swaped tires thinking that there might be a bad tire but the noise is still there it goes away when i stop. I just cant pin point the problem.
I was wondering if it might be the cv axle.
anybody have any suggetions
thanks

What is the mileage?
Is there any particular speed the noise is the loudest or at what speed does the noise start?
What brand hubs were used and what torque value for the axle nut?

I am having the same issue. I changed the front left hub (which it did need) but the noise is loudest between 51-55 MPH. But it ramps up until it gets there and is definitely louder then and then backs off a little when you accelerate past that speed.

I have no doubt it is the wheel bearing/ hub. Only use timken, they will last much longer than the budget. I replace the cheap ones on customers cars usually within a year. just my 2 cents.
