:) Another compound question...

Does it give better shine if you
1primer
2paint a few coats of desired paint (non-metallic)
3compound
4use clear and compound.

Or should I just leave out step 4???

Thanks on beforehand.

If it's a non-metalic paint then a clear isn't really necessary, so yes u can leave step 4. I only bother using a clear coat if its a metalic or pealescent paint or somtimes when there are a lot of decals eg race, rally cars. In which case, it will be step 3 you will leave out.

i use clear on non metallic paints because sometimes i get too greedy and polish through the base coat. With the clear, as soon as you see the body color, u know when to stop.

Ok!
Thanks for the answers!

and may I ask another small question;
:alien2:

1.Is it possible to put decals after I have compounded a body or will the residuals of the abrasive compound eat the decals?

2.Can I clear coat after having compounded a body ??(will it be more shiny?)

I know it sounds pretty stupid:flipa: , but nobody has ever been killed by asking stupid questions... (i think?)
