windshield replacement interchange

I have a 2005 Grand Am, that my glass company says fits 04-05 only, however body style goes 99-05. They say that 99-03 is by itself.

I have a gut feeling that this is because of a tint or shade issue, but I don't know.

Has anyone used a windshield for a 99-03 in a 04 or 05 Grand Am?

What is the difference??? Will they interchange???

The 99-03 windshield is about $60 less expensive at my wholesale cost.

Finally found out 99-05 Grand Am (4 doors) windshield glass will interchange.

The glass itself is exactly the same shape & size, however the shading is the only difference.
