Check Engine Light -2006 e350

My e350 has 36,000 and runs perfect. The other night the Check Engine light appeared. It stayed on for a couple of days, and then went off. Should I make an appointment for the car to be looked at?
Also, does anyone know what happened to BenzWorld? I used to post there, but it seemed to have "disappeared".

There are way too many reasons for the engine light to come on and then go out, this engine system has had several pattern faults. The only way to tell why is to have the fault codes checked. The engine control unit will have the fault stored in its memory. Personally, if the light is out right now and no running issues are found I would wait for it to happen again.
